- For the first time, identified a conspicuous 210-day periodicity in CHAMP satellite magnetic data using wavelet analysis. (Ref: Kunagu et al., 2013, Geophys. J. Int.)
- For the first time, provided a new hypothesis for the subsurface fault regime in Kachchh region using Magnetotelluric studies (Ref: Chandrasekhar et al., 2012, Geophys. J. Int.)
- Successfully implemented wavelet analysis technique for effective delineation of hydrocarbon pay zones in Bombay offshore region (Ref: Chandrasekhar and Rao, 2012, Math. Geo Sci.)
- Studied the phase characteristics of global and local geomagnetic jerk features using complex wavelets and for the first time, identified the presence of local geomagnetic jerk features in Indian magnetic observatory data (Ref: Chandrasekhar et al., 2013, In: E.
