About Me
I attempt to understand evolution of the Earth’s surface environment through time by studying sedimentary rocks using isotopic and other geochemical tracers.
Current Research Themes and Activities
- Carbon cycle perturbations, Proterozoic global glaciations, Biogeochemical changes at the Neoproterozoic-Cambrian transition, Chemical evolution of seawater through time, C-Sr isotope stratigraphy, Pb-Pb dating of carbonates
- Evolutionary history of Indian sedimentary basins, Landscape evolution in Quaternary, Quantitative sediment provenance analysis, Trace element and Sr-Nd isotope geochemistry, Detrital zircon U-Pb geochronology
